The Ups & Downs of the MLM Business

All of us at some point in our MLM experience has had ups and downs. We have encountered problems and have also endured good times.

How many of us has actually sat back and recalled the first time that they first encountered the industry of MLM?

Do you remember what you were thinking as the prospect of recruiting other people into a business model, whereby you would be essentially employee and employer all rolled in one?

I have to admit that when I realized that I could ultimately take my career and lifestyle into my own hands and do with it what I chose, I felt the ultimate sensation of independence and freedom.  I had looked at several situations that could have helped me, but all seemed to primarily involve absolute obedience in one shape or another to the corporate structure.  The first time that I became actively involved with MLM I decided to listen closely because the business seemed to involve the mechanics of telemarketing, which I was an employee of earlier in my life.

It seemed to me that this was the ultimate opportunity, sure enough to say that I was learning about the industry over the internet.  It seemed to be the opportunity of a lifetime, and outside of the lottery or sports and entertainment contracts it very much is.  There are ups in downs in MLM as there are pretty much in life generally.  There will be good days and there will be bad ones too. How we position ourselves after each experience will determine where we stand at the end of the day.  This is one reason why personal development has such an important role in this industry. Ultimately we are independent contractors with independent goals and aspirations.  But categorically we are network marketers, a body of able persons working together for the purpose of all included.

We are ultimately a team, and the success of that team hinges on team work. We will win some and we will lose some, but ultimately even our losses play a major role in developing who we are as network marketers.

Taking the time to develop mentoring skills in the ultimate key in the business.  Using the "each one teach one" philosphy is how we succeed.

This is ultimately duplication at its finest, the ability to carve out a niche or blueprint and use it repeatedly to achieve success, not only for ourselves but every other person that uses it as well.
